Denise was prior student at the University of Chester, she studied a combined Bachelors degree in Fine Art and English Literature. During her studies she took part in a work placement at Liverpool's John Moore gallery, whilst at the gallery there was a competition being held which she was involved in. Her role in the competition was to organise all of the administration in order for the composition to run smoothly, she enjoyed this experience and gain valuable insight into what she wanted to do as a possible career once she had graduated.
After her studies she began to work in multiple different Art galleries consisting of: the Tate Liverpool, the Bluecoats art gallery, Museum of Science and Industry and Port Sunlight Museum. Beyond working at rebounded art galleries and museums in numerous job roles, her most current work is as a writer. Below is a link to some articles she has wrote:
After hearing about Denises experience in both University and work, I think its valuable to hear about people that have walked in our footsteps and been through the journey we are undertaking at the moment. Ultimately her career aspirations and outcomes are completely different to where I envision my future going I would prefer something more practical, hands on and art related as writing is not my strong suit.
