Austin Houldsworth

Austin Houldsworth was born in Macclesfield and is currently a research at the Royal school of Arts in London within the department of design interaction. Not only is he a researcher he is the founder of the FOM design awards, this award stand for future of money and it set brief that designer can explore in order to achieve the award. One of these briefs was focused on the idea that within the future world identity is money and that those who are hopeful visionaries could explore the future of technological tends.


When it concerns Austins work his approach to design is experimental as he likes to challenge societies and peoples norms, as a result he often ends up creating and developing new methodologies. Some of his outcomes focus on crime and trade systems, athletically pleasing visual work that plays with peoples perspective and money etc...
