During this module we were given a project to undertake away from the comfort of the studio spaces in university, were we are free to express what ever we please within our art. Rather we were given a public exhibition space which will be located in the centre of Chester in a multi-storey car park, this means there are certain areas we have to consider that we necessarily wouldn't think about in the comfort of our own studio spaces. These considerations consist of: health and safety, the feeling and emotions of the verity of people that will come into contact with our work, how our pieces may fit into the space making sure that it is not obstructing, distracting or preventing people using the public space as they usually would etc...
Through this project it has allowed me to gain a range of valuable skills that could be used when I graduate for example: time keeping and efficiency in producing an outcome for a give brief, this would be relevant if we were to work with galleries in the future as there are certain criteria that have to be fulfilled in order to exhibit work within a show, or it may be helpful when a company is give a project to fulfil within a certain time period.
The images attached are plans of the car park/ the layout this helps to figure out where everything is located and allows for an architectural view point on the car park as you consider all the internal and external spaces and how each element of the car park works together in order to make an effective and functional building.
