This demonstrates one section of my studio practice; this is an agreement we have to write before we start the project. This is much like when we have been given set briefs in the past two years except this year, we set our own agenda. This is very useful and teaches us skills in not only writing but thinking, as it allows us to truly understand what we are doing, the time scale we have complete it, what materials and skills will be needed etc...
Once completing this form, I have gained a valuable skill of converting my art work and concepts into writing, this can often be hard for me to achieve as the creation of different art pieces comes easy to me without a lot of thought involved. Meaning a lot of my work is based in intuition, gut feelings, ideas like many other artists. Therefore, having a document to refer to it allows me to keep on track with my own goals, aspirations, ambitions.
How these form could adapt themselves into a real world environment one that is separate from the studio is by teaching you how to put your ideas over to a work place, a gallery in order to exhibit work and even into further study, where I can show I have become independent able to work to a timescale and produce not only visual but written work.
