This section shows how my work has progressed from purely representational imagery to creative compositions that contain elements of distortion, abstraction and expressive mark making. I decided to add abstract elements to my representational work to distort the memories and emotions I am portraying, the abstract elements also add a new dimension to the work that I enjoy and wouldn't want to loose.
Abstraction has been a significant part of my university experiences as it was something I had never encounter or explored whilst in school and college. This way of working can be seen a lot in my previous year in university, yet this year I have found even more ways of exploring mark making and how this can emphasis representational imagery and add depth to my concepts.
